Missy Big is doing the cake from her Made By Me book.
Little Missy stitched a boat with oars, on a pink sea.
I saw this idea over at Feeling Stitchy by Detroit Mommy and thought it was the perfect way to preserve those tiny hands. This is my version.

What a lovely way to keep those precious memories and much prettier to display than the big chunky hand prints in plaster that I did as a child for my parents:)
ReplyDeleteI love love LOVE the hands memory stitch. I have it in my list of things to do - but seeing yours... I think it may have just moved up to the top!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the hand prints. What a beautiful idea. I'm going to try this out for sure. (My lack of embroidery skills will not stop me!)
ReplyDeleteoh these are beautiful memories and moments for sure. Just loving the girls stitching and those hands. What a great idea. I have taken hand prints of my two boys every single year since they were born in fabric paint on white cotton fabric and been collecting them. I do them around their birthday so it's the same time each year. The plan?? To make a quilt to present to them when they are 18. Yeah, I know, they are currently 8.5 and 6.5, so we have a few years of hand prints to go. Have a great weekend at your place.
ReplyDeleteoh i so LOVE the hands stitched.must try this.
